Dave has been in Israel for 10 loooonnnngggg days. Surprisingly, this has been one of the easiest times me and the kids have had without him here to help. I've felt mostly in control of our schedule, especially with with bedtimes and activities.... I 've also felt patient and not as as overwhelmed as usual.
I got an email from him a few days ago and he told me that he left a prayer for me in the cracks of the wailing wall. It made me feel special to know that there is a prayer in Jerusalem that is just for me. What a thoughtful thing that I would have never asked for. He gets home tomorrow. I am so glad!
No more trips this year, so you won't hear much wailing from me:o)
What a thoughtful hubby. I bet you've missed Dave. What a fun trip for him. I'm trying not to be envious...
ReplyDeleteIt was a stressful trip unfortunately, but I am glad he's back. I'd rather he was having a good time while he's away. It feels "worth it" more.
ReplyDeleteThat is definitely a romantic thing. Us literary types can appreciate the gesture! ;)
